Photo Journal of the Keegan Ireland Tour
blah blah blah... why not say a few things here! Maybe something with deep meaning?!
What went into this experiment
First, you need to get a key from Google to tap into their maps. Check out the API documentation for more information. Once you have that, its just a matter of understanding how it works and how you can write some JavaScript to pull in the specific map for each instance in your design. I suck at coding. So once i figured out the basic idea, I used the js document from a professional coder. If you look at his js document, he has some basic logic that allows me to use html rather then custom scripts each time. this is a huge time saver, specially if you're not a coder by trade.
Research
At the time of this attempt, there were already many great concepts in the works. I'll not be updating this list which I'm sure will be out of date almost immediately. But googlemapsmania and other blogs will probably keep up.
